My 9m/o has been strictly breastfed since birth, she recently became very sick & was unable to hold anything down for a week. Her pediatrician stated that I not give her any BM until she was able to hold food/drink down. Yesterday my usually eager to nurse little girl turned away from my breast and refused to nurse for about 15 minutesuntil she finally took to it but it wasn't like she usually does.
Anyhow, I have been pumping & putting my milk into bottles but since I'm never "full" anymore (since I've been nursing soo long) I am barely getting more than 1-2ozs out from either breast resulting in an unsatisfied little lady.
My daughter will not take formula AT ALL, she turns away from it or throws it up almost immediately after ingesting it. I have tried mixing my BM with the formula but still the same reaction.
So, the next best thing to Mothers Milk is Raw Goats Milk. If you have supplemented with this type of milk please let me know how your baby did on it & how old they were when they first started. Thank you for reading!
