I Have been sleeping with my daughter since she was 5 months old. Next month she is going to be five and still sleeping together. How can I stop this habit?

Thank you Kristin. Your suggestions sounds like a good plan and will try them very soon!

It's fine. Several of my friends practiced attachment parenting and there isn't anything wrong with it. I think it's good for kids to have there own room as they approach elementary school. I told my daughter that she would get a special visit from the Sandman if she goes to sleep without a fuss and the "Sandman" would leave a new nighttime book, a new stuffed animal, a cute little note, new crayons, etc.... It worked like a charm. Rather than having her go cold turkey, you could also tell her that if she goes a whole week sleeping in her room, she can have a movie night/ slumber party one night a week. Good luck!!!!
