is it ok to start 2% milk to 8 and 1/2 month baby or any other milk ?

No 2% milk is not recommended until a child is at least 2 yrs old. Formula or breastmilk is the only kind of milk a baby should drink for the first 12 months. Once they turn 1 yrs. old then they need to have whole milk for proper brain development. Substituting this schedule with other milks will affect how your child will develop both physically and mentally.

Introducing milk prior to one year may cause allergies and lactose intolerance. It is recommended to continue formula or breast feeding until at least 12 months.
