Is it okay to allow your child to cuss?

Well this depends on you. When they are little they repeat things you say. If you don't cuss, they shouldn't. If you cuss and tell your child that it's bad, they'll wonder why you do it and they can't. So I believe if you cuss, you can allow them (when they get to a proper age and know what it is,) BUT be teach them to be respectful about others around them. Because they'll cuss when they're at school and around their friends. Little kids don't know the difference. When they're little it's ok, because they are hearing it, there's not much you can do when they hear it, but to teach them that some people say bad words but it's only for grown-ups to use in certain situations.
I have to admit that when my daughter was watching The Wizard of Oz and said 'b**** is flying' instead of 'witch is flying' I totally cracked up. But that was because she couldn't properly make the 'w' sound and I was totally caught off guard by her saying that. No, it's not cute for kids to cuss. We don't cuss, so my kids don't hear those words yet. When they do, we'll discuss appropriate language (hopefully this won't have to happen until elementary school).

We do not allow our kids to cuss. We don't even cuss. I have also seen where parents think its cute for their kids to cuss, I jsut wonder if they'll think its cute when they become teenagers and cuss on purpose or get angry and cuss their parents out.
