my first born baby boy has today made four months. He was born with 3.8kgs , had passd stool n had swallowed some of they took him to the nursery to flashout all the stool n he spent there 3 days during which he was feeding on formula. after he was brought to me, it took him a very long time to grab the breast. now w have stopped giving him formula because its expensive n has a health hazard. we are now giving him both the breast milk n glucose but my question is : is it really appropriate? this we do because the brest milk is not enough for him, for he has a high apertite. thank you for advising.

NO. Your baby should only be getting breast milk or properly mixed formula. Period. Just glucose does not have the proper nutrients for your child and you put your baby at risk by giving him anything else. If you do not have enough breast milk you need to work on upping your supply or supplement w/ formula.
