Is it okay to have a baby when my husband is so angry about it?

My husband and I have been together for 3 years now and married a little over a month. I have always been upfront with him when it comes to having children and he has always said he would like children as well. Now that we are married I wanted to have my IUD taken out and see what happens but now he is very angry with me just at the thought. I had my appointment scheduled for next Friday but I am not sure whether I should keep it becasue of how he is acting. I have two children from a previous relationship and he is a wonderful father to both of them. After I had my son I had contemplated getting my tubes tied but thought about the person I would marry and decided against it. I don't know how to deal with his attitude towords having a child and it is really upsetting me. Should I keep my appointment and hope he gets over it or just wait until he changes his mind. Also he was the one that told me to schedule the appointment to have my IUD taken out but as soon as I scheduled the appointment he changed so I am getting mixed messages.

When he said he wanted children, maybe he didn't mean a month after you got married? I would suggest you discuss it with him and see what his feelings are about when he would want to have another child. Perhaps he suddenly got cold feet when it became a reality. The two of you need to sit down and have a discussion about it.

Absolutely do not have a child when your husband is against it. Sure, he could 'get over it'... or he could resent you and the baby and leave all of you. Is it worth it?

Spend more time talking to him about it. Have you asked him why he told you to schedule the appointment and what made him change his mind?
