i am 1yr separated with my child's dad, we are not married. we had a 2y.o child, made unintentionally. he actually don't love me either. he is the one who asked for breakup. i've been a faithful partner to him for the past 3yrs, & begged him how many times just to stay with me & our daughter. but unfortunately, he made a closure between the two of us. & now, i am on dating with a man who is really loves & cares about my daughter. but he is not financially stable as what my child's dad is. is it okay if i had a boyfriend?

There is nothing wrong with having a boyfriend, but I have a 'policy' to not date anyone that wouldn't make good marriage material. Is it just that he doesn't make as much money as your ex or is he a bum with no job? That would make a big difference to ME (but I'm not everyone). Life isn't about money, so if he's hard working and making SOME money, just not a lot.. that would be fine to me. The bum with no job... would not. ;)

If you haven't moved on from your ex though I would recommend taking things VERY slow. You don't want to jump from one failed relationship to another.

move on from your ex first, and find a boyfriend who has his act together. You don't need more drama.

Sure it is! Not sure where the finances came in to play but if you base relationships on finance that isn't good.

Its okay to have a boyfriend. My story is almost just like yours, only I had a boyfriend who decided that he loved me and my son, 2 1/2yrs old, so much that he asked me to marry him. He is now my husband and the only daddy my son knows. LOVE is worth so much more then money! always remember that!

Yes! Life moves on. Money is not everything! I know it helps but love is what makes the world go round. Have fun and enjoy life. Glad you have moved on.
