I had a healthy pregnancy all the way up to 34 weeks. I went to my 33 week appointment and my blood pressure was great and urine was fine. I had. No preeclampsia . I then wasn't feeling so well a week later. I went to ER and they diagnosed me with peeclamsure ( borderline elclamsia).. Was sent to larger hospital in ambulance and was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome later that night. I was able to deliver my baby and both of us are now well and healthy. My husband and I never want to go through a situation that is life threatening again. Thoughts on second pregnancy? Not sure if it is safe for us.

You need to talk to your doctor to figure out how risky a second pregnancy would be for you. Previous cases of HELLP or pre-eclampsia increase your risk for HELLP and pre-eclampsia in the future, but there are a lot of other risk factors to consider.

Most likely, your chances at a healthy pregnancy are better than not, but the chances of suffering from pre-eclampsia or HELLP are not insignificant either.
