Is it wrong?

I'll be 38 weeks Sunday. I want to switch doctors to be induced. Measured 39weeks at my appointment Wednesday but they didn't check my cervix or do an ultrasound to see how much she weighs. Midwife said it could be a month. And I can't handle another month. I fell in the shower at 12 weeks and have severe back pain from it. My back isn't aligned right now and they can't find out what's wrong with my back till after I have her. Today has been the worst of all. I can't sit or lay comfortably. When I sit she's in my ribs and everything hurts. Laying down my sides and back hurt. I don't know what to do. I don't believe in inducing but now I'm hurting so much I wanna cry.

You are not full term yet. No-one is going to induce you unless you or the baby are at risk, and right now, you aren't. It is just inconvenient and painful for you. Your baby isn't ready yet. The doctors need to put the baby first before your discomfort.

And just to let you know, even with an ultrasound and measurements, they can't tell you how much your baby weighs. They can make an educated guess, but it is not accurate.

By all means, you can switch doctors, that's your choice. Whether it is wrong or not is a matter of opinion. In my opinion, late pregnancy can be extremely uncomfortable and even painful. I dislocated my pelvis when I was pregnant with my youngest and believe me, by the time I got to full term, I was in agony. Every time I had it put back into position, it would pop out again. Sleeping was virtually impossible, walking was too. My daughter came naturally at 40 weeks. I wouldn't have dreamed of inducing her because I was in pain.
