My two and a half year old take hours to finally fall asleep at night. Any suggestions out there? We have a routine, 8pm bedtime, brush teeth, read a couple short stories then lights out. We made the transition to a toddler bed January 1st, so it it's been almost two months, but she still won't fall asleep or stay in bed unless we are in the room......and it takes anywhere from 1 1/2-3 hours. Plus then she is up 2-3 times in the night, which makes for a very tired mommy and non rested toddler. I feel like she isn't getting the amount of sleep that is required.....what can I do??

It was from crib to bed, it was a convertible crib, so it's basically the same sleeping spot, just doesn't have a high rail in front.

Was the transition from crib to bed, or from cosleeping to bed?

Thanks! But mine isn't waking up 2-3 times a night to feed he's just waking up crying out (night terrors) she's been done feeding at night since about 4 months old!

My toddler is 19 months old and I am super excited about moving her to a toddler bed. I am not going to do it until I can get weaned from night feedings. And who knows when that will be bc she just doesn't sleep without it. To get to the point, I was maybe thinking she is not ready yet. Just a thought.
