Is my my child being deprived because of my fear of germs??

I have been feeling really guilty lately, my daughter just turned 2, and I am feeling bad cause I haven't taken her anywhere. I have kind of a fear of germs, I was home with her for the 1st year, but she has been in daycare for about a year now, so I thought that would help me get over her being at places that kids who are sick may have touched and stuff. But as I am thinking, it hasn't. She is 2 and has never really been anywhere but to family and friends houses, and out to the store and mall. She has never been to the beach, boardwalk, fair, public parks, amusment parks, the zoo or anything. Just typing this is making me awful, I am also afraid that she is going to be scared of things if Ikeep her so sheltered. How do you let go of the germs aspect and allow your children to live life....Am I a bad Mom???

I don't think you are a bad mom, but I do think that you should lighten up.
I take my child to all of those places and he's alive and well. I take hand sanitizer with me to use before he eats or if he touches something disgusting.

This natural exposure to germs builds your child's immunity to them. So, slowly being exposed to these things will help them fight it off in the future.
If your child isn't exposed to these things, can you imagine how often they will be sick when they start school and their immune system is overwhelmed with all the new germs.

Keep her safe and wash her up regularly, but let her be a kid and explore.

No, it doesn't make you a bad mom. :(
Have you been diagnosed with OCD?
Are you receiving any treatment in the form of theropy?
If not I would recommend speaking to your doctor about it and seeking professional help.
Wish you the best.
