I have a 15 yr old step-son who is starting to need to shave. I have no problem with him shaving, he has peach fuzz and some long chin hairs. I do however have a problem if he wants to grow a mustache or goatee. Am I just being too controlling or is facial hair on a teen acceptable?

lol What are you going to do, tie him to a chair and shave it off yourself? Like the other ladies said, just make sure he understands the importance of proper hygiene.

I agree with Evelyn, and don't see a problem with it as long as he is hygienic. It is his face and his hair, and he should be able to choose if he shaves it or not.

It depends on the teen I think. If he can take care of it and keep it clean and neat then there should not be a problem. It is no different than a grown man who has to keep his clean and neat for work related things.
