Is there anything else I can do for my daughter?

My daughters father has just made the decision to leave. We have not been together for 2 years, for those 2 years he was still seeing her every other weekend. He was living with another woman, her son and her three nieces. A month ago he made the decision to cut off all ties. Now my daughter has nightmares about her family leaving her and is so attached to me I am unable to go to the bathroom with out her there, she needs to sleep with me every night again and daycare drop off is a nightmare... I have tried everything I could think of to help her in the rough time, but it only seems to be getting worse. I am not quite sure what else I can do for her. Any suggestions would be great!

Thank you very much. I will continue on the path I have been. My heart just breaks for her.

Awe, bless her heart! Adults can be so horrible! I think she just needs reassured that you aren't going anywhere and she will relax soon. Sad to say, it's all about trust. However, many adults and people in general simply aren't trustworthy. Just keep letting her know you are there is probably the best thing and it sounds like you're doing just that. You're a good mother!
