I am 31 (nearly 32) and my periods have practically stopped.. I used to get a heavy flow and about 6 months ago it stopped to now only getting spotting for a day or 2. I get period cramps for a week or 2 prior to this though. I am not pregnant because thats the first thing i checked :) I have experienced a fair bit of weight gain also ( 12-15kg in a year) but i contributed this to having whooping cough and glandular fever and was ill for over a year with it. I know that our cycles change during our lives but do they change this dramatically?

It's always possible - not highly likely, but possible. But as I said, it might be due to your illnesses that it has thrown you out of whack. Checking hormone levels will identify if there are any issues.

If you've been ill for over a year, this may very well have something to do with it. I would go and see your doctor and have your hormone levels checked to rule out menopause.
