Isolation felt by SAHMs

I love my kids to the moon and back and find spending time with them one of the most precious things in my life. Doing things together, teaching them every little thing from manners to ABCs to stories to science gives me an immense sense of satisfaction. However life with two toddlers, with their mild to full-blown tantrums, with their constant demand for attention and with their sibling bickering and filling their day with busy activities leaves me not only as one mentally and physically exhausted mom but I feel a huge void due to lack of adult conversations, sharing wavelength and connecting with people. I would like to know if there are other SAHMs who feel the same way and what they do to combat this given that there is not much time to spend outside of home. The last thing I would want is for this built-up frustration to get channeled on to my kids, so I don't be short with them because according to me patience is THE BIGGEST attribute a parent must possess and constantly improve on during child rearing. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated!

SHe will never get used to being away from you unless you actually are consistent. Three days of preschool is not enough time for that transition to work at all...it can take a matter of about two to three weeks. You do need to set some things out with her now. Or you will have to go with her to kindergarten. YOU need to make some time for you. And her father needs to help with that.

Normally I would but lately my 2 and a half year old has developed a bigger separation anxiety from me. It all started when we tried pre-school for her. The 3 days of trying pre-school somehow "traumatized" her to the point that she will not me out of her sight except for a couple places that she has designated my husband to take her to.
