My name is Adeline. I have already had 1 C-Section and I'm planning for the future of my family. Is it possible to have 4 C-Sections as we wish to have 4 children? Or, how can I have a natural delivery for my second born?

I have a friend who has had 5 c-sections. Some doctors/hospitals will do a VBAC and some will not. You will need to talk to your doctor about that to find out what your options are.

I never wanted to have 2 babies in diapers at the same time, so I waited until my son was a little over 3. That gave ample time for my scar to heal and be sturdy.

I had an emergency c section with my first, and a successful VBAC with my second. If I were to have more children, I could continue to have vaginal births.

I had to have a c-section with my third child, so I explained to my doctor that I wanted to have a vaginal birth after cesarean (*vbac) with my 4th. He said I could but that I had to sign a waiver since there were risks of uterine rupture. When I went into labor though my son was breech so I had to have another c-section. 8 months ago I had my 5th child and the doctor told me that it was an automatic c-section. After giving birth he explained to me that I can safely have one more c-section after that the risks are way too high. So yes you can have a vbac (but you need to talk to your doctor about that, some will do it and some won't) and yes you can safely have 4 c-sections.

So by the time I actually gave birth, it was 3 years 11 months.

Thank you all for the helpful and encouraging ideas. I'm happy to hear that you had VBAC after C-section and I'm wondering to know how long did you wait to have your second birth?

You need to speak with your doctor or midwife. Some places in the US do not allow VBAC's any longer. Using a midwife will increase your chances of a VBAC. The longer you wait before getting pregnant, can also increase your chances. Your body needs to fully heal and recover. The sooner you get pregnant, the more likely you will be to have a c section. Once again, talk with your medical professional.
