Ladies, I'd like some advice here. I am involved in what seems a never ending battle with my former husband - the father of my two eldest children, ages 16 and 14, respectively. Heres the short version. My ex husband has had primary residency with the children since 2004 when I moved from AZ to Colorado. I just moved back to Arizona and have been with the children every other weekend as long as Father allows it. They are with me currently all summer as well.
It was brought to my attention through email correspondence with an ex girlfriend of father that my son is smoking and buying large quantities of marijuana while at his fathers residence. I was forwarded facebook messages between my son and other teenagers in his high school peer group which confirm this information. Apparently Father is aware of such and has failed to involve me.
We have been battling in court for several years over incidences of abusive behavior between he and the children, failing grades, poor attendance, and even a time when he relocated out of state and left the children with his then wife without my consent or knowledge for a total of 10 months. He has since divorced #2 in 2010, and is already engaged to #3 after a few months of dating. This newest woman seems to come froma family of gang and criminal behavior, and I fear that this drug issue will soon exaccerbate. Has anyone been through a case similar with the drugs? Is this a strong reasin to seek custodial change??
