It's a tough battle when you have children and you both work. Husbands don't always realize what they aren't doing to help out. Lately what I've been doing to making to do lists weekly of what needs to be done around the house. I don't always split it up but I don't get to do something I say to my husband didn't quite get to that could you please help me out. I think as you get into a routine and the kids get older it gets easier. As my daughter gets older she is 5 she wants to help out more and when she helps out she gets to have a playdate afterwards or go to the park. seems to work for us.

Yeah I find when my day gets cluttered a good 'to-do' list can help. I don't always get everything on it done, but I usually get at least the top 4/5 (depending on how big the job is).
For me I think kids help around the house because they're part of the family, whether they get something afterwards or not. I also thinkt hey should get money just because people get money with no tie to allowance but every situation is different right.
