Help?! My 3 year old is struggling with #2 and won't go either in her pull up or toilet. 5 days ago her doctor told me to give her this liquid laxative but you give it rectally. It was a nightmare and she won't stop talking about it hurting her butt. Se hasn't gone #2 in 5 days! (Since i gave the medicine) I tried olive oil, fruits, veggies, fiber filled snacks. Nothing works she just holds it. Me being excited isn't working for my stubborn girl. She won't do it saying its too messy and she doesn't like it.... Ugh... Any ideas? A chewy laxative even? My doctor is no help and my daughter looks bloated. I don't want to go to the ER but if i can't get #2 in another day i may have to. Also, how long is too long for her age and going #2? Isn't it normal to go like twice a week? Am I over reacting? I'm pretty freaked out.

Prune juice works great. You can add it to other juices firstly if you're concerned that the sweetness and thickness might be too overwhelming. If not, go full guns with it! It contains potassium and iron, too.
