IUD and miscarriage or over reacting?

I have had the IUD Mirena since this Jan/New Year, so for five months. It has been pretty amazing. I was on depo before for almost two years. I barely spot now. My spotting is not even on a monthly basis and doesn't last for longer than 2 days. It's normal light fluid-y blood just like normal period bleeding. I'm sexually active, of course. So that's all my that basic info, here is my problem/worry. I have had really light bleeding for about two days. Not enough bleeding for a pad or tampon though. It's a weird type of bleeding though like really thick blood but not a lot. I'm trying not to be gross or graphic, but like not as thin as normal period blood and the reason why I'm now concerned is because I just had a weird like chunky blood substance occur. I have been cramping a lot too but that's normal for my spotting times. Also, my IUD string is totally in place so that's not a worry of mine. I guess I just have a weird feeling about the type of blood/spotting I'm having. I'm wondering if I should be concerned. Could it be a miscarriage? I don't believe I wouldn't even have noticed I was pregnant before. Am I overreacting? Should I wait to see if the odd spotting stops or should I go get check out by a doctor? If I did sent up an appointment, would it be a waste of my time and the doctors?

Take a pregnancy test Asap. My friend just had a pregnancy in her falopian tube caused from her Iud. Your symptoms sound a lot like hers. Her doctor said she could have ruptured her tube. so deffinetly play it safe and get checked out.

It depends. I think if there's any pregnancy hormone it comes out positive. So even if you're miscarrying there would still be hormones. I would set up an appointment or at least call and talk to somebody. My friend's test came out positive. I'm not trying to worry you but I think it could be dangerous for you if you did happen to get pregnant with an Iud in. Better to be safe:-)

If I was miscarrying, would a pregnancy test even come up with correct results?
Thank you so much! I'll totally set up an appointment either way as soon as possible.
