I live in the UK with my 16 month old daughter and husband. I'm American and we spent the Christmas holidays with my family in the states. The last time I flew out to the states with my daughter she was 9 weeks old and she was 14 weeks old when I came back to the UK with her, so we had no problems adjusting her back and forth between time zones, but now we're both going crazy from lack of sleep! It's a 6 hour time difference and she adjusted going out there within two days, but we've been home 4 days now and she just isn't sleeping at night. She refused to sleep at all on the 10 hour flight home, so when we got home (on Friday) I let her sleep as much as she wanted, but from Saturday I've had her on the exact same routine we've been on every day as normal and she keeps waking up at around 10.30pm and won't go back to sleep until 3-4am!! We've been keeping her in her cot and going in there to comfort her if she cries but she just plays for hours in her cot until she finally falls back asleep, and I can't sleep until she falls asleep! Does anyone know of ways to get her on the right track? Or do I just have to wait it out. I have heard it takes one day per hour time change for you to get back to normal, but I don't think I'll make it another couple days like this!
