Mine didn't require so much cash, as I recycled and upcycled material and supplies on hand...but it did require effort, and prior to actually starting my sales, a bit of cash outlay for sales tax & licenses for the markets.

But, I'm also fairly self sufficient, so my first business cards were ones that I'd inked myself, as was any other advertising or anything else that first year. It was so nice to actually have 'professionally' printed things later!

And I, in my spare time (after working 40-50 hours a week) have a sewing business, custom jobs (none too time consuming) and bulk jobs mainly. I save up everything I produce over the winter, and do outdoor markets during the summer.

The point is, everything takes effort, and I'm sure to do as Jodi did (for example) still took her some legwork to get the wholesale vendors and her granny flat for operations. You can't just sit back and wait for job offers to drop in your lap. YOu have to make the effort.

When you had your baby, you limited your options. That's called life. As Shawnn said, you could wade through a bunch of scams.

I worked from home for many years and did quite well, but I didn't use one of those scams. I actually set up a full online retail business for scrapbooking supplies and had wholesale accounts with suppliers and a granny flat to operate from, and did quite well from it, but believe me, I ended up putting my daughter in daycare 2 days a week anyway, just to keep up with it.

Either go to the work from home community and attempt to wade through the scams, or get a job.
