Okay! So I'm new to this Circle of Moms. :-)

I figured this would be the best place to turn for advice, though!

I have a wonderful 13-month-old baby boy who is... a little on the heavy side (about 29 pounds).

His thighs have become too large for him to get out of the strollers we have right now (poor thing), so I'm looking for a new one!

Specifically, I'm looking for a jogging stroller. However, there's at least a bagillion of them out there!! Does anybody have any advice on a good, easy-to-maneuver, and reasonably priced jogging stroller?

Thanks for your help!!! :-)

Christina, T.J.'s Mom

You might want to check out for Baby Jogger FIT. It's a fixed front wheel that appears as lightweight single jogging stroller (20 lbs) with maximum capacity of 75 lbs, higher canopy and spacious seat allows for a relatively bigger and taller toddler to sit in comfortably. Here's the link: http://jogging-stroller-reviews.net/baby...

i have the Jeep brand one, and LOVE it for running, and that stroller can go anywhere!  We even take it to the beach, and it goes thru the sand like a dream.  Since it is a true jogging stroller the front wheel does not pivot, so i do not recommend it for shopping malls or tight spaces.

We have a phil and teds. love it love it. turns on a dime and if you have another child you can add a seat behind the main one rather than beside! my friend has a babytrends jogging stroller from target i think and i love how it looks (not as bulky as the jeep ones etc) and she's happy with how it works. good luck! but check out phil and teds! they make all kinds of stuff for babies.

I'd look on something like Craig's list and find a name brand and will be a lot less

We also have the BOG Sport Utility Stroller. We love it! We take everywhere and it is great. It is very smooth! It is expensive but totally worth it. I attached the link to the exact one we got, in case you are interested. Good luck!

I am a marathon runner and just enjoy being outdoors.  I have tried at least 3 baby joggers--the Original Baby Jogger, In Step & the BOB--and the one I like the most is the BOB.  It is expensive but is the smoothest stroller ride I've ever run with.  I think it accommodates a child's weight up to 70 lbs.  I take it everywhere.  It's great for off-roading, going for a jog, going to the zoo or park, or through the mall.

We purchased a Baby Trend from Target for around $100 last spring.  It's great for walking trails and cruising the neighborhood.  I think it would be a bit tough in tight spaces (like stores).  Just make sure whatever you purchase has a pivoting front  wheel.  Most models have the capability to do both-but if you want to use it as an all purpose stroller and not just a "runner" you will want that front wheel to pivot.

Hi. I would recommend the Urban Stroller by Go Go Babyz. It is definitely worth the money. I paid $150 for mine. You can take it anywhere--off road, on road. It comes with cup holders and plenty of storage space. It is also quite adjustable. The price is very reasonable considering everything it does. I could talk about it for hours.

I have a Baby trend jogging stroller, it red and black, bought it at Babies R' Us. X-mas '07 for $99. Love it, it rolls like a dream. Perfect for shopping and festivials. If any thing make sure you can buy one with a front wheel that and locks and unlock!

Check out One Step Ahead at onestepahead.com or parents.com. They usually have some good suggestions.
