have any of you gals gave your 8month baby the harvest juice? it only has 12grams of sugar in it and thats the only sugar in his diet..should i be concerned? i make sure i clean his teeth..i do duilute it w 4oz of water and so he gets 1oz of juice once a day..its more of a puree juice 1/2 veggies 1/2 fruit..

In general, its probably better for children to have the actual fruit (pureed, babyfood style) than the actual juice. More health benefits in the actual fruit than the juice itself. The extra sugar/calories in juice are unnecessary. The small amount you describe is probably fine, but just make sure it isn't replacing other fluids he needs to grow and develop (breastmilk, formula). If he fills up on juice, there is less room for the things he really does need. If you do offer juice, make sure it is 100% juice and watered down, as you are doing. You can always check with your pediatrician if you have concerns.
