Just for fun what are some things you would like to see invented to make your life easier?

What are some things you would like to see invented or implemented that would make your life easier (even things that could/would never happen). I would like a washing machine that converts into a dryer this would save me some trips up and down the stairs but mostly I put a load in before work and usually forget till a couple of days later and have to start the process all over again! I also think it would be great if it were socially acceptable to wear towels instead of clothes, the reason being is they are so easy to fold and put away! Do you have anything?

A teleportation machine. I lose two hours a day in my commute. Gaining that back, plus any other time I spend in the car going from place to place...it would transform my life.

JuLeah, a fridge that offers suggestions for dinner would be good, but one that actually spits them out already prepared would be better!

I would like a button to push to help me find my cane. I am busy with something that I need two hands and I leave my cane near and I forget where.

Oh, and we totally have toilets in the grocery stores here! Sometimes they are kind of hidden, but they are always there. Kind of gross though. Only to be used in moments of pure desperation.

Yeah, poop and barf free pets! Haha.

I guess I'd take one of those Pierce Brosnan house systems from that Simpsons Halloween episode, minus the homicidal tendencies.

And a car that drives itself so I don't need a license.

they actually do make washers that then do the dry cycle afterwards too - no having to switch from one machine to another. They are very expensive to buy though! But they are out there.

What I would like to see is not an invention, just something that's common sense - toilets actually IN the supermarket. Not just in the shopping centre, where you have to leave the actual shop you are in to get to them, but in the supermarket itself (don't know if they have these elsewhere, but they don't here). Seriously, how annoying is it to have a half-full trolley, loaded up with groceries and then your baby starts screaming for a nappy change or feed, or your toddler starts saying "I need to wee. NOW!" Then you have to abandon the groceries you have already collected to go find the toilet/nappy change room because you aren't ready to pay for them yet. A room that you could go to, with your trolley, without having to take them out of the shop or finish up and pay for them first would be great!

Also, go back to the old system of service stations actually providing 'service' where the attendant comes and pumps the fuel for you. How much easier would it be than having to get out, fuel up yourself, then get your baby and toddler out of the car to take them inside to pay, then come and put them back in the car again. I never fuel up by myself anymore - I either get my husband to take it out after I get home, or i take someone such as my sister with me, so that I don't have to get kids in and out of the car. The old days when you didn't have to get out where great. Some places have now introduced a 'swipe and pay' system, where you can swipe your credit card at the pump without having to get out of the car, but you need to have their particular credit card, and who needs yet another card?

Auto pilot vehicles with a GPS of all the short cuts during rush hour traffic.

im totally with JuLeah on the cat. i have 4, 2 of which long haired. i feel like i clean up hairballs as much as i change the litter. and the netflix too! itd be great to type in that movie with the guy and girl and they go to that place. lol
i would also like something to help in the car. my girls are always dropping their cup or pulling off a shoe. and they freak out till i get it or fix it or whatever the case may be. some mechanical arms that could do the job when i push a button would be great. and a self cleaning bathroom. i loathe cleaning the bathroom.

I like the teleporter machine idea. Just think how much easier it would be not to have to load everyone in the car, fight traffic, and spend enormous amounts of time every time you want to get somewhere. "Into the machine kids! We're going to Disneyworld for the afternoon!" :-) An automatic refilling refrigerator would be my wish. I'm not much of a cook and hate grocery shopping so my fridge is always empty and I have to figure out how to make a dinner out of dill pickels and mustard every day.

I would love an automatic nappy changing machine. It would detect that stinky bottom, get the child and change her and then get rid of the smell!!!!

Amy: they do have washer/dryer combination machines already. My Mum had one about 6 years ago.

If you start wearing towels you might start a trend

I'd like a self cleaning carpet

A self filling gas tank - the way a battery can recharge when the car is running - the tank fills when the car is off

I'd like a cat that never throws up hairballs

A fridge that offers suggestions for dinner

A calander that notices when I have double booked and corrects the problem

A netflix system that plays the movie I want even if I can't remember the name of it ...
