I never called my oldest two children silly nickname (that I can think of) but my youngest daughter I call kadie-bug she also gets bug of her oldest sister, we have no reason for this apart from it sounds like ladybug and it's cute. My friend calls her son Sam-a-lamb (again no reason for it) my sister always called her son Corey pie, we all sometime call him it for a laugh as he's 17 years old and 6ft tall.

I just wondered what everyone else's silly nicknames are? If any.

My 2 older boys are monkey doodle (because he liked to climb when he was little) and smoochie woochie (because he loved to give kisses and cuddle when he was a baby). They are now 10 and 13, so heaven forbid I ever say that in public now, but at home they don't mind. I occasionally call my (2yr old) daughter minky, because her skin is so soft, but nothing has really stuck with her yet. :)

My mom nicknamed all 6 of her children! My oldest sister is Witchy Poo like the witch on HR PuffinStuff, she is almost 60 and still gets call that by her family. A sister call Dingbat, one called Titsy feathers, a brother called Slobert and Dean-O named after the neighbors pig. I myself was given two, Punkin Puss and House Mouse which she still called me till the day she died. My family has always called me Puss E Cat which derived from the orginal Punkin Puss. I passed on the Punkin part to my son, and my daughter is Pickle or Monkey. We have all gone by nicknames our whole lives and I think it is a sign of affection. Love my nicknames!

When my daughter Kyla started talking, she called herself "Kyka", so that's what we call her often. My 7 month old boy gets called booger, bubaloo, Monkey and my most recent favorite is Meatball! He is wearing size 1 yr clothes already and he is so much heavier and rounder than my daughter was.

my son Hunter was nicknamed frog man from wen he was born as he always scrunched his arms and legs up like a frog. Then my friend's daughter had a cleft pallet problem and couldn't say it so she called him 'hummer' which stuck. My daughter Alexis was jaundice, so she was quite yellow, and had a Tuff of hair that stuck up at u'd back so her god mother nicknamed her pineapple. She still gets it. I have a friend who's baby brother had a lisp and couldn't say Patricia, he called her dah, so every1 else did too. Her brother is 18 now and she's 29. She still gets dah. Lol...

My Cadence became Cady-bug soon after birth when my mom called her Cady-Lady. My son Josiah was Siah for a while when another kid couldn't say the Jo part for some reason. Sometimes he answered to it better than the full version. Currently he favors JoJo though he also answers to marshmallow (he loves them) as a silly names. And I'm sure many of you have experienced the pretend play names when they want to be an animal and only will answer to puppy, kitty, etc.

My oldest daughter is of mixed race Latina_ i've been calling her Latina since she was a babe, then it shortened to "Tina", she answers by that more than her real name which is Sanche. My next daughter- we call her "Pudding", cuz she's so sweet and it stuck. My son- Daniel goes by "Boobie" (he was the only one who breast fed) and now its shortened to Boobs! The first daughter now is simply L.A.T. which we termed stands for Lazy A$$ Teen. She just sits around with her phone all day like a sloth, hardly moving! My nickname growing up was Wee-Wee, and some well known folks still call me that today-sooo embarrasing!

My oldest son is fussy foo foo, we can't call him that anymore but can get away with foo somethings

My youngest is Nicky poo poo, now poops for short

I am mama moo moo

and papa doo doo

It started with Nicky poo poo because I was always changing his diaper and the older son got upset that he didn't have a nick name and they all rhyme.

I don't really have nicknames for my kids, but I affectionately call them all Turd haha. And my daughter is "Beautiful" of course, because she's the only girl. My sister in law calls my boys Chunky, Chubbs and Nugget, respecively and they have been those names since birth. I used to call my oldest Punky, for no real reason, but that didn't last very long. Our middle son is named Joshua and sometimes we call him Joshy. Also, my youngest son is Nicolas, and after he was born my best friend mispronounced his name (Nicleus) and so now she calls him Nucleus.

I have twins. The oldest and bigger one I've called King Stink ever since he was an infant because he had the biggest stinkiest poops. I mean like big ole MAN ones. And the other I call my little stink! well he has the smallest ones and the smell would knock you down. They're 3 1/2 now but they answer to them. The younger one, whose name is Dallas, also has the nickname of Frankie, because my sister calls him that like Frank Sinatra...old blue eyes. (he answers to that as well but only from her! No one else can call him Frankie)

The name of Mr Awesome has a little story attached to it. I was outside in the garden when my son comes up to me.....

Son: Hi Mum

Me: Hi Hayden

Son: I'm Awesome

Me: Are you, Hayden?

Son: Yep. I'm awesomer than you, because I have a Ben 10 watch.

And so he has been Mr Awesome ever since!
