My baby is 7 months old, and I just stopped nursing suddenly (from only breast to only bottle). This had to happen because when she began teething, she began mutilating my breasts! It was just too painful--blisters etc.

Now my breasts are swollen and engorged... I've pumped a little, but that hurts really bad, and I don't want to continue stimulating more milk production. I've also tried cabbage... It doesn't seem to help much. Tips?!!

You really should drop one feed at a time every 4-5 days to give your body time to adjust. Just pumping enough if every once a while is really the only thing that will help. Just pump enough so your comfortable, take a pain reliever to help with the pain, and keep an eye out for mastitis.
