My youngest boy just turned 2 a couple weeks ago and for the past month or so he walks around saying mom, mom, mom MOMMMMM MOOMMMMMMM MOMMMMMM....all...day...long, everywhere we are and will not stop mo matter what I do. Any advice, his ped says he is a strong willed little boy and to ignore it, but it is literally causing me headaches because he shouts so much and I stay at home with him and I need a solution. Please any positive advice would be appreciated.

Sometimes he will, but for example if we are in the store and I am buying groceries, he either just wants my full attention or wants something I put in the cart or wants to get out of the cart, or any other unexplained reason, he will just shout mom over and over again. So, if I am grocery shopping and he's shouting mom, I try to entertain him and give him attention, but when I stop, he starts again. I feel like he just wants my attention the entire day. In the back of the car he yells it the entire time he's back there, and that's one of my biggest issues because it distracts me from driving. He also, spends a good portion of the day yelling at me to come, when I am busy with something like dishes or cooking or cleaning...I do spend a large portion of my day playing and doing things with the boys.

I agree though, distraction is a good idea, though not in all situations. Like in the car if he's yelling for me, he wants my attention only and if I start singing to him a lot of times it will just make him mad.

Will he stop if you do things together like read stories, sing songs, do clapping games, bake, play with play doh, etc? You might need to work at distracting him away from this behaviour.
