Counselling for yourself even is still a really good idea and will help you deal with it

It could be antenatal depression but it sounds like your situation is shit and that is probably what's causing it. Meds won't really help unless things change with your family and husband. Maybe you and him could go to marriage counselling or work things out between you, try to find a solution to how you're feeling. Tell your mum you feel she is being unsupportive and it hurts your feelings.

Well, it won't be postpartum depression, as that occurs postpartum--after birth. But that doesn't mean that hormonal changes aren't causing your mood to shift.

The best person to talk to is your OB/GYN. My doctor and I actually made the decision to wean me off of my anti-depressants while I was pregnant with my older son--I compensated with a rigorous therapy schedule that actually worked out better. Five years later, I am still off of them. That was a totally personal decision. I researched the commonly prescribed ones for pregnancy and between the risks and side effects, I couldn't do it.

Good luck!
