Why would you want to keep a month old baby up more? They are MEANT to sleep a lot. But they are also MEANT to wake at night. They aren't actually designed for going long stretches without waking to be fed or changed.

If you're trying to keep her awake so that she'll sleep longer at night...stop. Babies eat, sleep, and poop. That's what they do. Most won't sleep through (which, by the way, is only considered a 4-6 hour stretch) until 3 months or later.

If you feel you aren't getting enough sleep, learn to power nap when baby does. That gets you through until they really DO start sleeping normal times...or semi-normal, at least.

At that age all they do is eat and sleep. If your baby wants to sleep then let it. It's never good to try and keep them awake as they get over tired and then find it much harder to fall asleep.

Let your baby sleep. They naturally start staying awake for longer stretches as they get older.
