My son, Peyton turned a year old March 3 of this year! It's been such an amazing year too! He's growing up so fast! On his one year check up his doctor asked us to see a specialist to see where Peyton is at mentally since he's so far been advanced mentally, physically, etc! So after we got his weight & heights, checked his ears & everything we sat down with the specialist & talked then she did get evaluation of Peyton. His doctor said even she was surprised at how much he has already learned and how mature he is for his age which would make any parent proud! Then the specialist came to talk to us again and she said that Peyton was advanced for his age. She said he is mentally at a 2 1/2 year old level and that to help keep up with his advancement we should teach him things that they work with 2-3 year olds. She felt Peyton could handle it and that in the process of teaching him things early it will help keep him from getting bored and acting out. She felt it was a good thing we were starting potty training early because if we had to put Peyton in daycare he would have to be in a two year old room because mentally that is where he is. So I can honestly say that I am truly proud of my remarkable child! All I've ever asked for was a healthy, happy child and Peyton has proved time and time again that he will exceed all of my dreams and wishes for my child! I am truly blessed with an angel and we couldn't be happier! We have done as his doctor & the specialist has requested, we don't push too hard bc I want him to enjoy his play time & have fun but I do show him & teach him the things he needs to learn and to help him progress! I'm always looking for fun ways to teach him & to help grow with him... I can not even express the amount of love & pride I have in my child... No words can even begin to describe the feelings I have for my family! I just feel truly blessed bc I have this beautiful miracle that continuously amazes me in so many ways & I'm grateful to be the one he calls 'Mommy'! As exhausting as it may be to keep up with him! Lol Mommy loves you so much Peyton!
