My middle son was just diagnosed with keratosis pilaris symptom and has eczema the only place his breakouts occur are on the back of his arms and his elbows, occasionally on his legs. What can I do for him? lotions, soaps ect.. when he does break out it is severe to the point where he sometimes is up most of the night Help!!

Eczema is usually from your diet. It can be cured if you follow the SCD diet.

You could also get a blood test done to see if he has any allergies to food and then you can stop giving him those foods and see how he goes. I have just done it for my son and it came up that he is allergic to something. So he will have to do another test to let us know what it is.

Have you ever tried changing his diet? I realized that gluten was causing my headaches. When I gave it up, a couple itchy scaley patches I had on my body for years disappeared. After researching gluten I found out it can cause eczema. Not sure this is the cause of your son's problem, but it my be worth a try if it is that bad.

His doc can give him a prescription of creme specifically for eczema and it does wonders my son had it all over his face when he was little but with the creme it cleared up in about two days
