I'm a new guardian/parent of 3 elementary ages kids. They argue with me about showering all the time. Should I make them shower daily or compromise?

Very few kids that age like to take a shower--they are going to argue about it no matter what compromise you come up with. You can compromise a little, just know that when you do, they are still going to push for a little more compromise....just to see how far they can get.

Really, at the elementary ages, you could do every other night if they are not dirty. Just make sure they wash their faces and brush their teeth every night, and make sure they are washing their hands regularly throughout the day. You might change the bed linens more often. By middle school, they will need to shower daily though....

My kid has eczema and can't shower every day. We do showers Tuesday,Thursday,Saturday, and Sunday (He get's dirty on the weekends). I change the bed linens on the weekend, and once mid week, usually Wednesday or Thursday, depending on when I got to it over the weekend.

They do not need to shower every day unless they have been active and sweaty from playing sports or something, have spilled stuff on themselves, or have otherwise gotten dirty and need to wash off. It's fine to skip a day if they have only done limited activity like just going to school, coming home, having dinner and watching some TV.
