I'm 27 and pregnant with my first child, a baby boy, who is a high risk case. He was diagnosed with HLHS at 20 weeks, which is a rare heart defect so we have to be very careful when and where I go into labor. My date of induction is this tues, Nov 4 if my cervix is favorable and I'm wondering how I should deal with the pain since I've heard being induced is very painful and on the other hand, an epidural can prolong labor.... Help, any advice and input will help with my decision.

My induction was the quickest out of my 3 births. It was 50mins from the 1st contraction till he was born. I didn't have time for any pain relief either.
My advice is to see how you go. Don't go in hell bent on one way or the other, keep your options open and it will be a lot less stressful.
