Hi, my 10 year old son has difficulty when I try to do Maths with him using the laptop, but he does it on paper when it is printed. I would like to know how to teach him using the laptop.

Some people are not geared to learning things on a computer just like they are not able to use paper and pencil. Each is different in his or her way of doing things. Do not push it. Give him time. Do a little bit here and there. If he still does not seem to get it, then it might not be the way he can learn.

So your child has special learning needs then? Because most kids do not have an aide to help them unless they are in the resource or special ed classes. If there is a learning delay or issue, then pushing the use of one way or another way to learn is not going to work. You have to step back and watch how the child learns in order to get the best teaching methods in place.

Thanks Evelyn, I was wondering the same thing, because he normally uses the laptop to play games. My son does all his school work in writing and when it is printed he also has an Aide who sits with him each day and helps him write when he's exhausted.
