Hello ladies I am from The Bahamas.
I just found out my son has laryngomalacia from the time i took him home he had a sort of wheezy breathing but every time i took him to a doctor they would always tell me that it was nothing it would go away on its own and babies are noisy during the first 4 weeks of life, but i was not content with that answer. One evening he seemed to be really struggling to breathe so i rushed him down to the emergency room to see what was going on and there he was diagnosed with this condition. it seems moderate he has the stridor noise but he has no problem with eating and gaining weight ,he was born 9pounds 3oz. The stridor noise is at its highest when he is really excited, eating, laughing or crying but when he is asleep you can barely even notice the stridor sound. Im always waking up through the night to make sure he is breathing but it doesnt seem like he has the sleep apnea. we have an appointment with an ear, throat and nose specialist this week just to see how everything is going,so pray for us.
