Ok so my son is almost 4 months old. And he laughs when everyone does something funny except for if I do it. Im a SAHM and he used to giggle when I would do stuff but he doesnt now. But as soon as a total stranger to him or someone he rarely sees comes around hes all giggles! Has this happened to anyone else?

Think about it this way... you've watched the same comedy over and over and although you enjoy watching it, it just doesn't make you collapse into a fit of laughter any more. Then you watch a new comedy and you just fall about laughing because you've never seen it before and it is so new and funny. But you still do love the old one very much, it's just that you've seen it so many times.
You are the old comedy (still loved but not new and previously unseen) and everyone else is the new comedy (totally new, never seen before).

I think it may just have something to do with him being around you all the time. He loves you, he cares about you, and surely you probably make him happier then anyone! My son used to get more excited when his dad was around and I couldn't figure out why, and my mom would tell me it's probably because he doesn't see him as often. At least he's a happy baby, you know? :)

Sharon - I guess I never looked at it like that before. I was getting kinda hurt about it because everyone can make him laugh. But thank you so much that really makes sense!
