Babies grow very quickly up until they double their birth weight. If your baby has doubled their weight, I wouldn't worry too much.
Also, the quick growth in the beginning can make the slowed growth of an older baby a little shocking. Losing weight is not good, but holding steady for awhile is okay.
If you are very concerned about weight and want to track it you need to track it carefully. Baby must always be weighed without clothing or a diaper, and always on the same scale. Even then, the difference between a baby with a fully stomach, bladder and bowel and a baby with an empty stomach, bladder or bowel can be significant.
Babies can slim down when the get older and become more active. If the weight/growth is a problem there should be an underlying cause - not eating enough, not absorbing food properly, too many calories being expended for some reason. Does your baby have any other issues?
