My 5 year old who had been potty trained since he was 3 1/2 yrs old still has the occasional accident due to business, but recently has been waking up freaked out. He cries and is totally out if sorts. I pick him up and calm him down and try to find out what's going on. He always says he doesn't know what happend, he doesn't remember the dream and once calm wants to go back to bed but can't get comfortable, which makes me ask him if he has to potty. He says yes goes back to bed and sleeps the rest of the night., but will sometimes still end up with a wet pull-up. Trying to figure out iif the nightmares are a tell tell sign that his body is trying to figure out that he has to go potty during night time. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Yes, this is not rare, but quite common.
Get your child a bedwetting alarm. There are many to chose from. I recommend the Chummie bedwetting alarm - www.chummie.com from personal experience. Good product, good customer support.
Good luck to you!
