I had my baby 6wks ago, my pregnancy was fine, never any signs of preeclampsia until right after I delivered her... My blood pressure shot up and it wasn't going down. I had no idea what it meant since I felt Ok, just tired and sore from just having a baby. When my midwife discharged me she told me that it was rare but to watch out for dizziness, headaches, nausea, pain in upper right abdomen because preeclampsia can happen postpartum, it's rare, but it can. Well...4 days later I was in the ER with a blood pressure of 180/110 and elevated liver enzymes. After the treatment and 3 days in hospital I was sent home to make s full recovery and since my blood pressure have stabilized. But my liver enzymes are still elevated! I wonder if anyone else that has experienced preeclampsia had a similar situation. How long did it take for your liver enzymes to go back to normal? The whole ordeal was traumatic enough and now my liver seems damaged...i just want to fully recover, put this behind me and enjoy motherhood for the first time.
