I am 32 weeks along and I live in a damp musty apartment. I have a dehumidifier that I run constantly but it doesnt seem to get rid of the smell or dampness it fills up and all but no matter what it is still really gross. we cant open the windows because there are fleas outside and they come in then we have fleas also...Im not sure what else i can do. I will be moving into a house but they are waiting for the baby to come due to personal reasons. I would prefer to move in now due to not feeling healthy living in a damp musty basement. But I have no say in the matter. Im not sure what to do.

Yeah, that's not good, but having a newborn baby in there would be worse. I would keep running the dehumidifier, but also get a peace lily or spider plant to keep right beside your bed because they are the best at cleaning the air and providing fresh oxygen, and they don't need direct sunlight so that's convenient. Also, try to spend as little time in the apartment as possible, only sleeping if you can.

no we will move before the baby is born.we have to wait until the kitchen is done and the electrical is checked over. We have to do all of the renovating in the house ourselves so it will take a little longer. Then due to personal issues they are stalling as long as they can on getting us out of here and into it.

Why do you not have a say in the matter? You are breathing in mold. Once your baby is born, how long will it be before you get to move? Is your baby gonna have to be breathing in that air also?
