My daughter was inappropriately touched by my ex husband, her step father, when she was younger. I just found out. He and I tried to get back together. I need help finding a book to walk me thru dealing with my feelings suggestions please?

Sorry. In re-reading what I wrote, it does look like we're together now. That is incorrect. We divorced 12 years ago. I remarried and separated from that husband two years ago. At that point the step dad and I tried again for a year and a half. We broke up this last February. My daughter, who is now 22, just remembered the abuse in October. Therapy for me is not an option financially. There is also no support group in our area available. Any other suggestions for me? Thank you.

If you just got back together with this man and just found out you need to get away from him. And there is no book out there that is going to help you deal with this.
1)Get therapy for you and your daughter.
2)Report his butt to the cops.
3)Get your daughter away from him if she is under 18.

Why would you try and get back together w/ the man who molested your daughter? How old was she when it happened and how old is she now? If you care about your daughter and want a relationship w/ her... stay away from this man completely and seek therapy. If your daughter is an adult and is not in therapy... encourage her to go as well. If she is still a child... go together.
