I am currently on maternity leave after having my son on March 1st. I'm looking for quality day care for him as well as my 3 year old daughter in the Danbury, CT area. Does any one have any suggestions? Thanks for any info!

Ink,
Thanks for the very helpful tips. I'll get started checking into it right away!

Research the local churches in your area...some offer daycare.
Get an account at Angieslist.com and see what other moms near you have had to say about the local daycares.
Post an ad on Craigslist in your area and read the other posts. You might find the exact Mom/sitter has already posted, looking for you.
Call the local Department of Family Children Services...they may be able to help you find a list...or if your income is strapped, they may be able to help you with funding for childcare.
Grammas, Aunts and Best Friends are another GREAT source. Is there a sweet little old lady living near you that loves your children dearly? Maybe a stay at home mom in your neighborhood that would LOVE to make a little money while continuing to stay home with her kids...and yours?

Personally, I prefer the last suggestion. I have a friend who has FOUR small children. She is always home, she is familiar with any little oddity my son may come up with..she's seen it all with her own four. My son is comfortable in her home as he has been there a million times with Mama and Daddy as well as going for "visits" alone.
