First of all I can not imagine the pain you must be going through dealing with the surviving twin on a daily basis. My heart goes out to you and your family. Without a doubt the other twin will be missing the other, but sadly she is young enough not to remember the pain of the loss. Children adapt very quickly and this will not affect the child at all in later life. As for you I think you are going to need some bereavement councilling as you need to get your head around the loss of this very precious child and be able to move forward to raise your child.

I am so sorry for your loss. You must be a wonderful mum to be asking about your childs loss in front of you own. I have twin grandchildren who are now 22 months and from my own observations they have always reached out for each other. So yes I think she will be missed, but at what level I do not know. The only thing you can do is lavish extra love and attention and as soon as she is old enough to understand talk to her about her sister. This will help you too.
I wish you well.
