loss of one twin

Just wondering if anyone has delivered one live and one dead twin. My son died at 23 weeks and my other son is fine. I'm due to deliver them in 2 weeks. I'm scared of how I will cope.

I am also really sorry, but also congratulations because you are going to have a wonderful son. It hasnt happened to me, but my husband had a twin brother that died befor my husband was born. My mother in law told me that she was sad but when she gave birth to my husband she was happy and focused on him. But she will always remember the twin son that didnt make it. I have asked my husband how he feels that he would have a twin brother and he says that he cant imagine it because he never had the twin brother. Basicly he told me you cant miss something that you never had. I am sure its different for his mother. I wish you all the best and good luck. Hugs!

I'm really sorry that this happened. I haven't gone through it personally, but I'm sure it's really hard.

My cousin just married a guy who started out as a multiple, but his siblings died before he was born. His mom mentioned this at the wedding, so clearly you never forget those babies... but they got through it. By all reports, he's a great guy with parents who love him enormously and who did a great job raising him.
