So I have been friends with another stay at home mother. Well , recently there was a conversation about how I allow my 8 month old to feed herself her own baby food . I was informed by this friend that I should not allow her too because she doesn't let her son play with his food , because teaching her now prohibits having a spoiled brat . Are you serious !? So I simply say , I disagree and will continue to parent my child the way I want. She then proceeds to tell me as well as other friends that I told her she parents wrong !! Am I in the wrong ? Is she the one overstepping the boundaries ?

I can't see that you said she parents wrong. How she chooses to parent, providing her children are not being abused or neglected, is her business, just as how you choose to parent is your business. You need to let her know that you are not disagreeing with how SHE parents her children, but you disagree with her assessment of how YOUR children should be parented.
