My son is 1 years old and he cant not be without me. He wont play by himself and for nap time he cries the whole time to the point where he lost his voice. I just don't know what to do anymore i feel like he's just spoiled because he always had me there he slept with me and i would rock him to sleep. now i'm trying to train him that its ok to play and be by yourself but i feel like it isn't working.

Yea he's in his own room in his own crib. During the night he's fine now he knows when I put him in his bed then that it's time for bed and he goes down with no problem. But for some reason at nap time it doesn't work at all but I'm trying hopefully he gets better soon. Thanks for your post:)

Been there! It is hard! My youngest DS was the same way, always attached to my hip! Does he sleep in your bed? It was a long process to get him to sleep by himself! I first had to start with no rocking, I would go in and lay down with him in bed till he went to sleep. Once he gets adjusted that I had to start with putting space between him and I in bed with a pillow, he was that attached! Then it was putting him in his own bed, with me on ours, but still in the same room. Then I started laying in the room and telling him I will be right back, and leave for a few minutes, and lengthen the time as your son adjust. Maybe I took it to softly, but it was about 6 months till I could go lay him down and him go to sleep on his own. But I couldn't deal with the screaming, wailing, and meltdowns for over an hour for him just to rest! After I got him used to sleeping on his own, in his own bed in our room, we went shopping for his special big boy bed at about 2.5 and he transitioned fairly quickly to sleeping on his own, in his own room!
