My ex husband had a restraining order from my kids and then was given full custody. Someone please explain how a Judge can do this. It is surreal.

I think that there is more to the story than is being said. But besides that, if there was parental alienation and he had proof of it documented in trying to see the kids and they were kept from him it can be done this way. Was the restraining order for the kids or for you? Because if it was more for you and you did not let them go to see dad through a third party, it is parental alienation.

I ALWAYS let my ex see our kids. The restraining order was for the kids since he was caught choking my 6 year old. After the 10 month order was lifted, our kids were scared of him and begged to come back to me. So he brought the kids back to me, usually within a couple of hours and accused me of parental alienation.

One Judge lifted the restraining order and sent my ex for anger management. Afterwards my ex said the reason our kids didn't like him was because of parental alienation, nothing to do with him. The Judge said if there is parental alienation then the kids need to be switched to the dad's house. Yes the Judge is screwed up.

That definitely doesn't make sense. I would think there is either a lot more to the story... or the judge is screwed up.
