I have a 7 year old girl with hypothyroidism. We didn't find out until about a year ago because we noticed a lump on her throat. That lump was her thyroid. It didn't descend down into place. Anyways we have finally got her meds on track but the last couple months we have been having some scares. I am so worried because they said they dont know why it wasnt caught on testing at the hospital and that it could cause mental retardation. She is super smart and thankfully nothing like that happened to her. Anyways, a month ago we had her blood test done and her liver enzymes where high. We waited a month and rechecked them and they were fine. But now her calcium and vitamin D are high. Can anyone tell me if this is nothing to worry about? Thank you!
