Is it normal to have on and off menstrual like cramps at 17 weeks almost daily?

I am in my second pregnancy as well. And I feel the same as you do. I am almost 37 weeks, and I remember at 17 weeks thinking Oh my goodness, I do not remember this. But with your second pregnancy your muscles are already stretched out and are not as tight as they were with the first one. Like I said before, the heat pad really helped along with some Tylenol.

Yes. My doctor told me to use a heating pad on low heat to help with the cramping. If this is your second child, the cramps may happen more often because your ligaments are already stretched out from the first.

Yeah , it means that your body is preparing to soon have the baby . I used to have them all the time when i was pregnant . Take tylenol , it should feel better . Avoid caffiene , & spicy stuff .
